New Leonidas backgrounds

So, based on some Leonidas Beta artwork feedback and a new proposal from Samuele we've chosen a totally different approach for the upcoming Leonidas release. Updated packages with more or less final design will hit rawhide probably tomorrow. And I thought I'll advertise the change... So here's what the new background looks like on my Fedora 10 (sorry for the mess on desktop, I need to clean it up a little…):

We have also prepared a little surprise for dual-screen users (actually it was in the original design, but we decided to not put it on single screens because it's too complex):

And for the people who liked the Beta artwork, I've put them into leonidas-backgrounds-landscape (sub)package so that you don't have to add them manually.

What program implements menu-bar at the bottom of the screen?

Looks awesome - mind if i ask what theme and iconset your running please, and also what dock is that? Thanks, the wallpaper looks ace.

Menu-bar at the bottom of the screen? I am pretty sure I have it at the top of the screen. But anyway, everything with the panels on the screenshot (sans the netspeed applet which is not present on Destkop Live) is achievable with the default Fedora installation, it's as simple as moving/adding/removing applets to panel...

Well, from theme you don't see much, but it's basically git snaphshot of nodoka plus image used as a background for top panel and semi-transparent white on bottom panel. No docks involved, just some rather trivial changes to the gnome-panel settings ;-)

The icons are git snapshot of echo-perspective, which still does not have much icons (you could count them on your hands), but it falls back to echo (which is more complete, but uses different projections) and in turn to gnome-icon-theme.

Ah right, now i can see what you've done there. The "dock" at the bottom is just a Gnome toolbar. I am indeed a newb. Good work. :)

How is the lion background too complex to make a single screen version? At least the horrible greek background is gone. The map was much better.

Anonymous, well, some people keep lots of icons on destkop and it's really hard to find any if placed on the lion head (I tried that myself, but the decision was made others).

I think that if Fedora adds semi-transparent panels (or only with a gradient), the look and feel will be better :)

Great wallpaper for a great release!!
